Our networking luncheon in July was a great success. Attendees went away knowing more each other’s business, and what to look for to help each other find prospects. It was a great time together. One of the messages we’ve heard from you is that you’d like more opportunities to network. Your board will work on how to offer more such opportunities.
Another message we’ve heard is that you’d like more business oriented programs. Although our next two programs are more focused on community and government, we will have business oriented programs for the rest of the year (see below).
Our August speaker will Be Dr. Fred Sanderson, Superintendant of Cobb County Schools. Issues about the school system have been in the news much lately and I know you will want to come hear from Dr. Sanderson himself. Please help us spread the word. Bring a guests
In September, Micky Lloyd, Cobb County Director of Public Safety will be our speaker. We will honor our public safety officials at this meeting. Then in October, popular Joe Turner will be our speaker. Some of you may have heard Joe before. He has a great motivational message wrapped in some of the most amazing illusions and memory illustrations you’ve ever seen.
Social networking is the hot thing these days, not only for social purposes, but for business as well. And it is rapidly becoming more and more important that we know how to leverage it in our business. In November, we hope to have a special guest who specializes in helping businesses learn how to leverage the extremely powerful capability of the internet and social networking to grow our businesses.
Remember, if you’d like to sponsor a luncheon, you can do so for $150. If you’d like, you can partner with someone else. By sponsoring a luncheon, you may distribute table materials and have 5 minutes to promote your business.
This is YOUR Business Association. Please feel free to let us know how you think the Powder Springs Business Association can help you grow your business more. We have a tremendous opportunity here in this community.
